Del Sol Clubhouse and parking lots
Building Excellence, LLC. has been awarded the contract to renovate the parking lots and finish the lower floor of the Del Sol Clubhouse
Demolition of the parking lot will begin Monday, December 18, with construction to commence directly afterward. The center will close on that date and may remain closed until June. Staff recognize that an extended closure of this nature is less than ideal. Value and efficiency were high priorities when the project went out for bid and splitting up the elements to this dynamic project would have increased costs significantly.
Facilities staff will continue to work with the contractor to find any creative but safe means of providing access to the building as parking lot improvements progress. Recreation staff are currently working on a plan to relocate billiards and foosball tables.
Future Glass Arts space at Santa Rita Springs
- Millwork is being installed this week with final electrical and inspections to follow.
- A ribbon cutting is being planned for December 29, though the studio may not be fully operational on that date.
The Canoa Hills Center is nearing completion
- New flooring is being installed
- Paint is nearly complete
- Locker and restroom tile work is complete and fixtures are installed
- Lockers and restroom partitions are expected in the next two weeks
- Due to the plumbing inspection schedule, we will narrowly miss our target of reopening December 24 and are now looking at January 1.
Architectural, space, and cost estimates for a potential West Center Lapidary, Artisans, Woodworkers expansion
- The architect has submitted a conceptual design for review by the Lapidary Club.
